Elevator Now Open For Signups!

It's been months of hard work, lots of ups and downs, many laughs and a few tantrums, but Elevator has arrived.

Hi! Paul here from Elevator. Earlier today (Tuesday, 4th February 2020), we quietly opened the Elevator doors, and we're currently inviting professionals from all over Australia to join the network. Try Elevator yourself today - create an account.

As an Elevator member, you can start to monetise your professional data. So far we've got a few profiles that are cheap and cheerful, around $10 to $20 price tag, and a few self-assured professionals asking over $150 to connect with them. What will you set your profile price at?

It was a really busy first day, inviting the waiting list members to set up their accounts (thanks for being so patient!), keeping an eye on the platform to make sure it didn't fall over (it didn't), and working hard to ensure a high quality of initial profiles on the system.

A few things we've noticed on day 1 however:

  • Some folks are trying to promote their companies and set a price to connect with them. We're not allowing this - only professionals are allowed to get paid for companies to connect with them.
  • A few people are creating really long profile descriptions with minimal skills listed. It's best to have a short "Elevator pitch" description and lots of skills, as this makes your profile more searchable.
  • We're seeing direct copy-pastes from LinkedIn profiles. Don't do this! Companies will easily find out who you are, and connect with you for free on LinkedIn. Best create your own Elevator pitch.

We're all about the people, and are on the case ensuring a really high quality for the professionals on the network.

Can you think of a reason why Elevator wouldn't work? I'd love to hear from you.

Remember, to make this change we need people to sign up, please be sure to share this with anyone that you know who might be interested - if you work in digital / tech, we'd love to hear from you.
